The cache is hidden in Oyster Cove Reserve. Timing is important in retrieving this cache. Getting to the cache may be a challenge if you come at the wrong time. Please take care in handling the cache. There is no need to force open the "oyster" to retrieve the log inside. The cache is attached to the "oyster". Just retrieve the logsheet without taking out the cache. Bring your pen.
Located on the site of the former North Shore Gas Works, Oyster Cove Reserve was gazetted as public parkland in 1997. Oyster Cove was one of the former names for this Bay which has had several names, including Kerosene Bay, Table Bay, Wollstonecraft Bay and Balls Head Bay. The reference to Oyster Cove refers to the shape of the Bay.
