This is the sixth in my Motherlode cache series, so named for the bounty of film canisters I received from the electronics department at Fred Meyer.
When I was a kid, I knew a boy who lived in the apartments near this cache who smelled like caterpillars. It took me years to realize that he actually smelled like lilac laundry soap, which I associated with the lilac trees in my backyard...which were always filled with caterpillars when I was little. I loved the way that boy smelled. He probably thought I was a total creeper.
Sadly, there are no caterpillar scented boys nearby these days, just these half naked cedar hedge, brutally butchered by some inept gardener. No need to go off the sidewalk to find this one.
