Geocache Description:

Winthrop Park is my first ever cache and the first cache in the series Winthrop Wonders. Please enjoy!

THE AREA

The cache is located at Winthrop Park next to Winthrop Drive. The park has plenty of space to run around in and sheltered by many pine trees. There is a playground for the kids to play in while you look for the cache but is on the other side of the oval. There are also a footy goals nearby to the cache and during soccer season the are numerous soccer goals. There is also a cricket pitch in the middle of the oval and two cricket nets near the clubrooms. There is a water fountain nearby to cache. There are plenty of places to sit, in the sun or shade. Parking is available along the playground side of the park and a carpark near the cricket nets. There is also a deli across the road to buy an icecream during summer. During winter junior soccer matches take place all day on Sundays. During this time there are lots of muggles and it's advised not go at these times.

THE CACHE

The cache is a black magnetic mint tin. It has room for a log, but nothing else. Please bring your own writing tool. The area of the cache is shaded by pine trees. If you find the cache please be careful removing the lid. Please replace it exactly the same as you found it. Do not attempt to retrieve with muggles at the cache sight.
