Geocache Description:

This is a 3 stage quick multi in an old cemetary.  Since this is a cemetary please abide by the rules.  NO NIGHT CACHING!   There is a house close by so stealth is needed here.  Please respect the area.  BYOP  Read the riddle and you will know what you are looking for.

I am placing this series of caches in honor of my new granddaughter.  I have been thinking about all the Nursery Rhymes, Kid’s Songs, and Children’s Books I used to be very familiar with but have forgotten.  I am refreshing my memory with this series.  I hope they bring back good memories to a lot of you too.

Do you remember all the words to these Nursery Rhymes and songs?  I sure didn’t.  I know them now tho.   If you are like me you will be singing some of these songs all day.

Hey, diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon
.
The little dog laughed
To see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

History:

1. Classified as a nonsense rhyme, these verses were put together purely to rhyme with each other.

2. In astonomy all (nearly all) the characters in the rhyme are visible in the night sky in the month of April (planting season). This was a rhyme to remind early Europeans (primarily those in England) it was time to plant the crops.
CAT - Leo
FIDDLE - Lyra
COW - Taurus
MOON - literally the MOON
LITTLE DOG - Canis Minor
THE DISH - Constellation Crater
THE SPOON - The Big Dipper (Ursa Major)
