Cachen är placerad vid en gammal sandsilo som inte varit i bruk på över 10 år. Sanden fylldes på i toppen av byggnaden och lastbilarna kunde sedan åka in nedtill och fylla på sand. Kommunen har funderat på att riva den och sanera området men det skulle bli ganska dyrt.
Istället har den hyrts ut till en skateboardförening som tillsammans med kommunen håller på att bygga Sveriges första betonggjutna inomhusarena för skateboard, kallad Bunkern.
På längre sikt ska hela platsen omkring Bunkern utvecklas till ett fritidsområde där en bana för BMX-cykling och snowboard samt en backe för pulkaåkning är planerade.
Cachen är en 0, 6 liters plastlåda som innehåller loggbok och penna.
The cache is located at an old sand silo that has not been in use for over 10 years. The sand was filled in at the top of the building and the trucks could then drive in under and stock up sand. The municipality has thought about demolish it and clean up the area but it would be pretty expensive.
Instead, it has been lent to a skateboard association and together with the municipality they are building Sweden's first concrete cast indoor arena for skateboarding, called Bunkern.
In the longer term, the whole place around Bunkern will be developed into a recreation area where a path for BMX biking and snowboarding and a slope for tobogganing are planned.
The cache is a 0,6 l plastic box containing logbook and pencil.
