Geocache Description:

The Australian Royal Flying Doctor Service is an aeromedical health service for those who live, work or travel in outback and regional Australia.

While many people associate the service with outback Australia, it plays a crucial role in providing emergency medical treatment and transport to those in rural and remote Tasmania and the nearby islands. The Launceston Base comprises one King Air B200 aircraft. The service is staffed by six pilots, two engineers and a base manager. And what a wonderful service they provide.



The cache is small round camo'd container with logbook and pencil.
