Geocache Description:

At approximately 11 am, or at the time the Cache Queens' Cache, Bash, & Crash event comes to a close at the Catalina State Park, let's spend some time making sure our camping and social area is as clean as we can make it. Backroads2010 will have a log to sign and bags for clean up. Event location will be based around campground area A, space 10, same as the rest of the weekend's events.

There shouldn't be much trash here for us to pick up; the campground is in great shape, but let's go the extra mile and make sure us geocachers leave the place in excellent shape so we are welcomed back next time!

THERE IS A DAY USE FEE AT THE PARK OF $7, so you may not want to come up just for the CITO. It will be easier for those in attendance at the camping event already.

Then again, there are plenty of things to do at the park including a 'WILD Connections' event on Sunday (please see link for information - it appears you need to make an online reservation for that ahead of time) at WILD Connections.

Or see the Catalina State Park website for information on the park, location and fees at AZStateParks.com.

See the Cache Queens' Cache, Bash, & Crash link for information on the campout event which will be linked to the CITO at Cache Queens' Cache, Bash, & Crash.

A Sunday morning breakfast and hike are planned as finishing touches on the campout, so maybe you DO want to join us for that and the CITO and a couple caches! So many choices!!

Hope all you campers can put in a few extra minutes to help leave the place spotless!! Any questions, please ask. >>UPDATE<< I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with ideas to make this honor our Veterans since this will be Veterans Day. A fellow cacher had some great thoughts as we did a short brainstorm. As you log your intent to attend, please take a moment to note if you are a Veteran and anything you wish you add. To those of us who did not serve, it helps us to further understand and respect what you went through. If you have a friend or relative that served, please feel free to use this to share as well. Please bring your American flags. I would love to see our campground area blossom with American flags on Sunday morning, or earlier, as the sun comes up! If you have framed photos you wish to bring and set up on a table, that would be great. Photos can also be posted on the logs! Any other ideas, please feel free to message me through backroads2010.
