Geocache Description:

Tucked behind the Penn State Arboretum lies a trail, a trail a mere few know either exist or acknowledge. A challenge lies ahead of you, although not meant to deceive or lead astray. Rather, it shall make you rethink the possibilities of where typical geocache containers can be placed. Parking is available at the Arboretum and Katz Building. This is my first geocache hide, so please treat both the geocache and the environment around it with respect; otherwise, happy caching!

I've been a geocacher for the last couple years, and I've wanted to create my own geocache for some time now; as a student at Penn State, I believe I finally got my chance. Parking is available at the Arboretum and Katz Building. This geocache is a tribute/dedication to the Penn State Alumni, and in particular my father and older brother. The alumni are the very reason I'm proud to be a Penn State student; I've never been so proud of such an elite group of people that both my father and brother belong to. My father, a Management and Organizational Behavior major, attended Penn State University in the 1970's, and spent his first few semesters in Tener Hall, which lies just along Bigler Road. My older brother attended Penn State from Fall 2007 to Spring 2012, majoring in Architectural Engineering, also worked at the Center For Sustainability, headquartered just off Bigler Road. As for me, an Energy Engineering major, I work as a a part-time undergraduate research assistant for the Earth and Mineral Sciences Energy Institute; my work is located in the Academic Activities Building, which is just off Bigler Road as well.

My geocache is located in a spot which extents past Bigler Road, enabling me to leave my own mark on the university like my father, my brother, and alumni before me. WE ARE..PENN STATE!!!
