Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of hides. Each will feature a hand tied fly that I have used to catch speckled trout near the location of the hide. In each cache will be two trout flies. One for the FTF and one to stay with the cache. The Adams dry fly was created in 1922 by Leonard Halliday and is still one of the most popular flies to use in the early spring when the May Fly hatch is on. I have used this fly at this lake with wonderful success.

The location is near a lake and here you may encounter some of the local wildlife that includes beaver, muskrat and local birds. In fact this lake is a favourite hangout for ducks and loons whose haunting cries can be heard here in season. In early evening during spring and summer you can watch the loons as they fish the lake. Be very quiet and see how close they come to shore.
The key to finding this location is a big blue gate. Once you pass through the gate an easy drive up the road takes you to the lake shore and a dam. Park here and begin a short walk to the cache location. The container is a bit of an elf and hidden as this area is well travelled by muggles.
