Taiyo was our cherished family friend and loved pet dog. He was an Akita which if you know is a very large breed. He looked intimidating but he had a soft gentle heart.
His favourite past-time was going for walks in the woods. He loved this area and series of trails. Almost every day we would take him here for a walk. We would also take him backpacking and camping.
We would take Taiyo geocaching as well. We are not sure if Taiyo really enjoyed caching. Often when we were struggling to find a well hidden cache wandering around a small area, Taiyo would get frustrated and confused as to why we were taking so long to get going again.
Taiyo passed away in September 2012 and this cache is in memory of him. We cannot count the number of time we walked by where this cache is placed.
Please bring your dog if you can and enjoy the trails.
We left a TB Walk Taiyo for the FTF. It is also in memory of Taiyo and we hope it travels the world taking more walks through the beautiful outdoors.
