Honan Library Traditional Cache
havartifreak: Alas, we haven't gotten around to replacing this cache-- the fact that they cut down the bushes near the spot where it was hidden has made it very exposed, and the amount of teenage muggling that goes on in this park has made it impossible to replace. Sorry!

There is a lovely park behind the Allston Honan library. Take a walk around and see the sights while finding this geocache! It should be an easy grab. Just replaced the container on 4/18/14! Hopefully it won't get muggled again. ::sigh::
The Honan-Allston Branch of the BPL opened in 2001, and the park behind it was completed in 2011. It was built on the site of a former cement plant, and repurposed fill from the plant formed the park's base. It's one of Allston's little-known green spaces. If you're here in the summer, take a run through the misting lion-shaped fountain! This is the first cache I've hidden, and I've had some help from my over-enthusiastic 3-year-old buddy Nathan (it's his first hide as well)! There is a small parking lot behind the library, and there is also street parking on North Harvard St. ***NOTE: Nathan and I went to check on this cache on Friday 8/30/13 and couldn't find it. Instead we found a ton of empty beer cans and liquor bottles. We assumed some local party kids had done away with the cache, so we replaced it with a new, similar cache container. **UPDATE** After seeing a couple of DNFs in a row, I got worried, since hooligans have messed with this cache before, so I went to check up on the cache. As of 01/13/14 I'm happy to say it's alive and kicking and still in place!
