- This extensions are in honor of Rhone who had place the first 100 caches. Thanks.
- It is also in honor to gecaching that is the bast way to get people out in nature.
- It is for all the cachers venturing out in the woods.
- One once said:"If you hike 3+ miles you better can find the cache". Therefore, most of the cache in this leg are easy hides.
- Lastly, a good friend of my said once said, caches should be challenging and not just a pink amobox in plain site. Therefore, every 5th is an EVIL hide. Just leave them and move on or put up your tent (NO camping allowed).
If going into this area during HUNTING season, be sure to wear orange.
Also this ares is know for BEARS so beef up on your bear safety tips.
Be sure to take plenty of water along especially during the hotter months. Beyond OT 83, OT ... and OT ..... the trail is a bit difficult to follow in a few places. Be sure to look for the blue paint when the trail becomes obscure. If you walk any distance at all and don’t see some blue, you have likely missed a turn.
Not recommended for night caching, as one could easily get lost, or stumble into one of the hazards along the trail and get injured. Have fun and be safe.
