A simple cache n` dash if your cuckoo?

This is a bench inscribed with "Cuckoo my love" on it. The story goes that the man used to holler this at passing ladies back in the day. No clue is given. North is Fishers Brae. West is some pointless path that follows the burn to the Avon (try walking along it). East is just East.
