This cache is located in the Oakoasis Open Space Preserve off of Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside. The trails are very well marked and are open to dogs, horses, hikers, but no bikes. This is 2.5 mile loop trail thru shady oak groves, but you can go directly to the cache and back track if you wish.
We parked at the staging area at: N32 54.765 W 116 53.239. This trail is part of the S.D. County trail system. We suggest that you take the Nature Trail when you get to it and go down thru the Oak grove, we saw a Wild Turkey down there ( the live kind) just wandering around. There is also an old cabin located there. From here you can either continue on the trail or cut up over the Meadows trail, they come out in the same place. From there, you're on your own!! Cache is in a large ammo box, contents are:Official Splashman boat, 9-ll cozy, Duncan yoyo, hot wheels car, new baseball cards, extension cord,m 2 key chains, Mardi Gra beads, 10 piece bit-tip assortment, toe heaters, 1000 peso coin and a where's George dollar.
