Geocache Description:

NOTE: The listed coordinates are NOT the position of the cache. You must solve the puzzle below to determine the actual coordinates of the cache.

To find this cache, you must solve a series of six problems, followed by a final cryptologic challenge! But before we begin, let's start with a few mental warm-up exercises...

Warm-up Exercise 1: Find your way through the maze.

Warm-up Exercise 2: Connect the dots.

All warmed up? Good, because it gets harder from here on..

Problem 1: Word Search. Find the word by looking across, down, diagonally, forwards or backwards.

Problem 2: How many beans are in the jar?

(spell the answer)

__  __  __

Problem 3: Spell the word "RABBIT".

__  __  __  __  __  __

Problem 4: Part of this picture is missing. Can you guess what this animal is by examining the incomplete drawing?

__  __  __  __  __  __

Problem 5: Word Scramble. Rearrange the scrambled letters below to form the correct word. The first two are done for you.

TA -> AT
FO -> OF
NI ->
_ _

Problem 6:

Dust off your cryptography skills, here comes your final challenge!

The actual coordinates are:

N 33° 43.{P1}{P2}{P3}, W 117° 57.{P4}{P5}{P6}

Use the following substitution cipher to convert letters obtained from the previous problems (P1 through P6) into numbers for the lat/long.

Substitution cipher: A=1, B=9, I=4, O=3, R=5, T-0

P1: use the first letter of the hidden word.
P2: use the first letter of the answer.
P3: use the third letter of the answer.
P4: use the sixth letter of the answer.
P5: use the first letter of the answer.
P6: use the only letter the two answers have in common (the letter where the words cross).

Puzzle Checksum:

The last four significant digits of the latitude are 3.539, and the last four significant digits of the longitude are 7.041.
