Grandpa Glenn: Life is Uncertain... Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

This short "treat series" is in honor of the guys in my life who've never turned down a sweet.  After all:  Life is Uncertain, Eat Dessert First!

When visiting my Grandpa Glenn, we all loved when the chant started:  "I Scream, you Scream...we ALL Scream for Ice Cream!" and the Schwann's big cannister would come out of the freezer!  In his later years, my Grandpa developed Adult Onset Diabetes, and his doctor told him he could only have his treats if he went for a 2 mile walk first.  I joined him once, and the man could really book!  I mentioned that to Mom and she said "of course...he was getting back to his treat as quickly as possible!"  I still grin and think of him when I see a Schwann's truck!

Daily or yearly park sticker required (daily available at parking area). Park hours are 6am-11pm. During cross-country ski season, please keep off the groomed trails. Also, there is hunting allowed in this part of the park during the 9-day deer season at the end of November and a few days in the spring during turkey hunting. Just be aware of your surroundings.
