Here's a cache that's not for the faint of heart!
No, it's not tethered way up in a tree, but it is placed in an area that makes most humans very nervous.
UPDATE: Discovered on 11/13, that park personnel have bushhogged aound the area since i placed the cache a little over a week ago. It is much easier to get to now so i've had to downgrade the terrain rating so as to be more accurate.
The cache is hidden in Cattail Marsh, a beautiful area with an abundance of wildlife. It's open from 8 am to 5 pm daily, and can be accessed via Tyrrell Park.
The nervousness mentioned above is mainly due to some of the wildlife that inhabit this area. Alligators, i spooked a big one about 8 foot long while hiding this cache, are one of the critters i speak of. Snakes are the other. Note, the gator pictured above was a smaller one that i spotted sunning about 300 yards from the cache. While neither are usually aggressive, they can become dangerous if you end up getting too close. While seeking this cache, be sure to watch your surroundings, your step, and where you put your hands!
This cache is a pretty good ways from where you park your vehicle, i would guesstimate more than a mile. To be on the safe side, i'd be sure to bring a communications device and a buddy along for this adventure. Biking out to this one is the way to go but if you have the time, hiking it is definitely nice too.
The container itself is an ammocan that's easily spotted once you make it to ground zero. It contains a logbook, pen, and a couple of items for trade.
Being that this one is difficult to get too, i am offering 5 pathags, randomly selected from my collection, to the cacher who finds and logs this cache first.
