Geocache Description:

Another rural cache just off a county blacktop road. The easiest way would be to park just south of the bridge structure on the east side of the road.  You are looking for a small metal tin which has room for mini/small swag and mini/small TBs and coins.

Originally built in 1898, this bridge was built out of local stones without using mortar of any type; each of the seven arches being held in place by a keystone and gravity alone. I believe this bridge was actually named Schleichers Branch Bridge, but 7 arches must have been a little easier to pronounce and remember.  In 1999, due to the much heavier road travel and the effects of 101 years of usage, it was decided by county officials to replace the stone arch bridge with a more modern cement one, while still trying to maintain some of the historical nostalgia.  It may not look near as pretty, and they may not actually be needed, but the seven "arches" survive today.  The best view is from the blacktop road to the east.
