Geocache Description:

Visit Starlight Canyon on LonelyCache
I, the ex CO, didn't live in Taos but visited our kids a couple times a year and they are always taking me Out and About. One trip was up into Starlight Canyon to find the lovely little rocks the locals call Starlights.  Well, we walked a bit up this road, about a mile and a half, no luck finding starlights, but really enjoyed the beauty and energy of this canyon which I have come to know is called Hondo Canyon on NF Road 606.  The cache is approximately 8/10 of a mile from Hwy 68 and can be reached by either a lovely walk or a high clearance vehicle.  The cache is about 50 feet off the road, nestled near a little quartz vein in the cliffs.  Dropped New Mexico Traveling Chili TB. Please replace the lovely pieces of quartz that are concealing the cache.  And if you're a local and know a little bit more about how to find starlights, do we need to walk farther? in the creekbeds? cliffs? please let us know so we might secure a little treasure.
