Geocache Description:

Another addition to the BBS series ... it's a toughie!

Here is a third addition to my BBS series. This is also the beginning of a new "BAGGERS FTF Series". Imaginary "FTF Points" will be awarded to the FTF, 2TF, 3TF, 4TF and 5TF accordingly (Thanks CZ for the idea). The points earned will be tiered based on the cache difficulty. Points will be awarded for this cache as follows:
FTF - 20 points
2TF - 19 points
3TF - 18 points
4TF - 17 points
5TF - 16 points
As points are earned they will be recorded at the end of the listing of each cache in the series.

Although there are only 3 puzzles for this cache, I expect them to be harder than the previous "BBS: Head Scratcher" puzzles. If it seems that solving the puzzle is taking a while I will add notes to the online log to give hints until someone gets FTF, so it might be good to watch the listing if you're interested.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but it is less than 3km away so you can assume the first 3 digits to the N and W coords are as follows: N 44 3?,??? W 075 4?.??? Use the puzzles below to solve the remaining 4 digits for each. Put your thinking caps on, here they are...

Question 1.

If 31 = 1311, then 1111111 = ?

Let's call your answer "X"

Question 2.

Can you figure out this series? 1, 3, 8, 13, 21, 30, 36 ...
Solve the next two numbers in the series, subtract the smaller from the largr, add 1 (one) to your answer and multiply it by 2.

And we will call this answer "Y"

Question 3.

Can you decipher what numbers these letters A, B, C and D represent?
A: 2
B: 5
C: 6
D: 4

Once you have solved these 3 puzzles you will be able to calculate the location of the cache. In each case you will end up with a four (4) digit number that will fill in the final four (4) digits in the N and the W coords: N 44 3-.--- W 075 4-.---

The N Coords:
From Question 3: ((A x B x C x D) +13) x (A + B + C)

The W Coords:
Multiply "X" and "Y" together (the answers to questions 1 and 2).

I have included the following GeoCheck to verify your answer. I have given this cache a 5 Difficulty rating mainly for the puzzles, once the coords are solved the cache will not be overly difficult to find. I have provided details about the cache in GeoCheck when the correct coords are punched in.

Here is a Sum Check to help narrow down your answers to the N and W coords and eliminate some possibilities:
- If you add up the 4 N digits you will arrive at a number over 19 and less than 26.
- If you add up the 4 W digits you will arrive at number over 4 and less than 11.
