Geocache Description:

It’s called Thunderbolt II, Warthog or simply the “Hog.” No matter the name, the Fairchild A-10 is an impressive machine. The A-10 was designed around a 30-mm rotary cannon, can carry a formidable payload and the aircraft's hull incorporates over 1,200 pounds (540 kg) of armor. Truly a heavy metal weapon!

The 163rd Fighter Squadron of the Indiana National Guard located in Fort Wayne, IN currently employs the A-10.

This cache is located on the way to the Indianapolis Regional Airport, the scene of the annual Indianapolis Air Show where the A-10 Warthog showcases its talents.

It’s a typical P&G spot with ample parking. BYOP. The FTF is rewarded with an official Air National Guard A-10 key chain.
