Geocache Description:

I spent many winters here as a kid sledding down this hill which was nicknamed Killer Hill from the locals who dared to used it. It looks like it isn't used for sledding anymore since there is a lot of vegetation growth, but you can still make out the trail. We would start at the hill behind the civic center (old school) and move over to this trail in the woods for a more advanced run.  Yes, we hit a few trees and other riders too, but it was a great time.  We would build jumps in the middle of the hill and there was one big one at the bottom which sent us flying in the air, usually landing on top of someone else who wrecked after the jump.  We would play games like cops and robbers and demolition derby.  We would leave with a few bruises once and awhile but all in good fun! There are a lot of memories in this area.
When placing the cache I parked at the civic center and walked down the hill to the cache zone.  The fire department has plenty of parking but increases the chances of being seen.  The cache itself is a small Tupperware style container just off the old trail and contains some kid friendly items to start.  There is some old rusty metal near by so please be careful.  Although, if you are looking in the right place the metal is a non-contender.
