What happens when you combine caching friends, sweet treats, and the holidays? Simple, you get the 2012 Geo-Cookie Exchange!
Here's the fine print on the label:
DATE: Saturday, December 15, 2012
TIME: 11:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Fuddruckers, 23621 El Toro Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630
How exactly does the cookie exchange work? It's pretty simple. Just bake three (3) dozen cookies and bring 'em to the event! A few notes:
- Please bring three (3) dozen of the same type. That way, people won't feel like they missed something. ("Hey, did you try the red-and-green vanilla squares from cacher X?" "Uh no, I thought she made the sugar-dusted gingerbread stars!")
- Place your cookies in Ziploc bags; to be specific, bring twelve (12) bags containing three (3) cookies each. Label the outside of the bags with your caching alias and cookie name, along the lines of "Gryffindor3: No-Bake Scotchies."
- The exchange takes place between chefs. Family members are VERY welcome, but they'll need to steal cookies from the baker's take-home collection.
- Please, no store-bought or prepared dough cookies. We're looking for original work here. Put simply, you gotta bake 'em to take 'em. ;-)
- Why only three (3) dozen? Because we don't want people to stress out! If we asked folks to bring one dozen for each attendee and 24 cachers signed up, you'd need to bake a whopping 288 cookies! Better to go with a small number and use any extra time to go caching.
- Wanna hang out with friends, but don't feel like baking? No problem, there's plenty of other fun stuff (games, raffle, and the like) to go around.
Bust out the flour and mixing bowls and get ready for the 2012 Geo-Cookie Exchange!
