Geocache Description:

You're looking for a decon container on the shore of the San Antonio River.

Picture of kayak landed near the hide.
You'll paddle downstream on the Saspamco paddling trail. The cache requires a climb up a steep, slippery slope to reach. You can keep paddling downstream another mile and a half, but as of the day I hid the cache, the river was blocked by a felled tree. Hopefully  SARA or Nature will clear the block soon so you can enjoy the paddling trail.

If you enjoy this kayak cache, please check out my others along the San Antonio River and Lake Calaveras

DO NOT attempt this cache after a heavy rain unless you have the proper experience and equipment. While you're here, you can paddle downstream and explore The Saspamco Paddling Trail.

The San Antonio River is a navigable waterway that flows 240 miles from the Witte Museum in San Antonio until it joins the Guadalupe River about 10 miles from San Antonio Bay. Current river conditions can be found at the USGS website.

This cache is ONLY accessible by kayak or canoe!

I left a silver bar as a prize for the FTF
