worldtraveler: Regrettably, I think it's time to archive this cache. As Bangkok's first cache, it has served its purpose of introducing geocaching to this area. This is a popular park, and the cache site was just a little too exposed, apparently. If a local geocacher wants to adopt this cache number and use it to establish a new cache somewhere in the park, I have no objection.

Geocache Description:

A tricky microcache slightly larger than a 35mm film can.

Attention: Cache was replaced on 25 January 2003.

This microcache is a translucent yellow plastic bottle containing a log sheet, a pencil stub, and several foreign coins.

The cache is located in a public park in the city of Bangkok. Except for the final ~50 ft., it is handicap accessible via paved surfaces. Finding the cache will probably prove to be easier than actually getting it in hand. Try to be stealthy; the cache has been plundered once and probably will be again if you attract attention.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For some unknown reason, the Mapquest map shown on this page does not point to the actual cache location. If using the map, go ~1 km east and slightly south of the star to the park (shown in green.)
