Canes Romanus Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hanoosh: I am archiving this cache as it has been brought to my attention that this cache is no longer accessible due to the landover putting up "No Entry" signs. Further it is evident the CO is no longer caching having not logged in for over 2 years.

Regards

The cache is placed in Talaton Common Copse alongside "Roman Road" which while it is rather non-straight, might be one of the routes converging on Exeter from either Feniton and Honiton, or the fort at Hembury. Tale (or formerly Tala) is the name of the river, and is Either old English for "the swift one" or from the old Celtic "ta" meaning water. There are a number of placenames around the river - Talewater, Taleford are two nearby examples.

Please be careful when retrieving the cache - replace the camouflage and cover your tracks! The area is used by BMXers sometimes so you may need to be stealthy.
