Geocache Description:

Pennine Bridleway - Trigpoint on the Pendle Way

Continuing my Pennine Bridleway series I am slowly making my way from the A6068 to the A56 with the aim of having one approximately every 500m – always provided I can find suitable spots.

This cache lies just off the PBW (on the Pendle Way) over the stile by the trig point. A justly famous one it is too for I own it. It is at 334m so quite a bit over 1,000ft in old money. Every few years kids from the local primary school  who have achieved some momentous feat are allowed an afternoon off to come along with me to paint it. They obviously did a good job last time as it’s still in good nick as you can see.

The cache is over the stile and in an area which kids love although I’d have my wrist slapped if I encouraged them to play in such a dangerous environment. Please re-cover carefully or they won’t last long given the numbers of passers by.
