Geocache Description:

Paddling upstream from the launch point, you're looking for a camo'd ammo can along the shore of the river.

If you put in at the listed way point, you'll paddle about two miles upstream to find this cache. Alternatively, you can start at the Saspamco Paddle Trail trailhead and pick this one up just before the end. You'll need to land your kayak or canoe and make your way up a mild but muddy slope. Watch for animals, there were many boar tracks in the area when I hid it.

If you enjoy this kayak cache, please check out my others along the San Antonio River and Lake Calaveras

DO NOT attempt this cache after a heavy rain unless you have the proper experience and equipment. While you're here, you can paddle upstream and explore The Saspamco Paddling Trail.

The San Antonio River is a navigable waterway that flows 240 miles from the Witte Museum in San Antonio until it joins the Guadalupe River about 10 miles from San Antonio Bay. Current river conditions can be found at the USGS website.

This cache is ONLY accessible by kayak or canoe!

I left a silver bar as a prize for the FTF
