SuzyJazz: Sadly Letter for Larry has to come to an end. My parents both passed away last month within 12 days of one another. After 56 years of marriage I suppose they did not want to be away from each other.
Now they are dancing in heaven and hopefully dad is working on a really cool container for me to find when I finally meet him in the sky. -- Dad always was coming up with great ideas and creative things to make into caches for me. :)
They both will be missed... thank you to everyone who came and spent a little time with my parents on the porch or left a card/ note for them. They loved all the visits and always raved and what great people would come by.
A special thank you to SandyRangers... she left a card on the porch the day I found out that dad had passed. I was a mess that day and just shoved the note in my pocket. I did not know who it was from, but every time I reached in and felt the card, I felt the caring of a friend. When I finally has the strength to read it, I was so touched at the message. It was a simple message and just told the story of how Sandy started caching with her grandkids, and then they lost interest, with that hers faded some too. But then she found a new caching friend and was out on the trails again. It was simple, and sweet... but it just was a re-assurance to me that my caching family was still out there... even tho my dad had gone on. ---
Thank you Sandy...
thank you!!
Sigh... I never knew this cache would be this hard to archive, but alas.... all good things must come to an end... hopefully a new cache will rise from the ashes in a new place.. honoring my parents. Soon... when I find the perfect spot.
Thanks again for all the love my caching family showed me... and my parents.
Hugs....
Goodnight sweet cache... goodnight...
