This represents one of a series of caches in this area of WD3 that is not well served by caches, yet, despite having some lovely little footpaths and rolling hills. I laid the series with cachethisninja and we hope you enjoy exploring this bit of rural-ish Hertfordshire, only just off the beaten-track, as much as we did.
You may want to start this series from Maple Cross. You can access the local footpaths from Chalfont Road. This road can be busy and cars move along it fast so please take care. There are various residential roads off Chalfont Road or Hornhill Road where you could park to begin the series from. Again, however, being a dangerous road and having a section with no footpaths, do take care. It is not really suitable for young children/pushchairs unless they are kept close. Pushchairs would have to be pretty off-road-friendly to make it on the footpaths anyway, which can get muddy. Dogs would need to be kept on a lead at times.
You are looking for a small/medium, round, plastic, lock-lock container that has a log, pen and had a couple of swaps when hidden. AT GZ, look at the intruiging new hosue being built. What unusual building materials can you spot in its walls?!
Please note: the paths to from the other caches in this series from here can get very muddy so please take care and come prepared!
