Geocache Description:

*UPDATE* Please note the original cache location is currently unavailable due to fencing. You are now looking adjacent to the original location - it is very nearby. This represents one of a series of caches in this area of WD3 that is not well served by caches, yet, despite having some lovely little footpaths and rolling hills. I laid the series with cachethisninja and we hope you enjoy exploring this bit of rural-ish Hertfordshire, only just off the beaten-track, as much as we did.

This particular cache can quickly be accessed on easy terrain if you go directly to it. It may even make a good cache and dash. But read below if you'd like to do it as part of the series...

You may want to start this series from Maple Cross. You can access the local footpaths from Chalfont Road. This road can be busy and cars move along it fast so please take care. There are various residential roads off Chalfont Road or Hornhill Road where you could park to begin the series from. Again, however, being a dangerous road and having a section with no footpaths, do take care. It is not really suitable for young children/pushchairs unless they are kept close.  Pushchairs would have to be pretty off-road-friendly to make it on the footpaths anyway, which can get muddy. Dogs would need to be kept on a lead at times.

You are looking for a small, plastic, lock-lock container that has a log, pencil and had a couple of swaps when hidden. At the time of the original hiding there was a hockey game being played on the nearby astroturf, hence the cache name.

Co-ordinates could be a little off due to tree cover. Look for a likely hidey hole, not far off the route the footpath takes here.
