A half mile stroll out into the marsh towards the RSPB reserve.
The name of this cache is inspired by the perfectly flat horizon you will discover at ground zero.
This is a shortish walk on a small grass-lined lane out into the exposed wilderness of Denge Marsh. You will have a panoramic view at the GZ looking across the RSPB reserve. Dungeness power station is always prominant on the coast. You will also be able to spot the water tower not far from the runway of Lydd Airport and also All Saints Church towering over the houses of Lydd town.
I have added a waypoint to mark the top of the lane. You should be able to find parking around that location, but please be considerate to the residents. Please do not attempt to drive down Culver's Lane.
You may notice a Private Property site at the trailhead. This sign relates to the football ground, not the lane.
One final warning. Please be careful of the deep irrigation channels on either side of the lane, falling in is not recommended.
Happy hunting.
