Geocache Description:

Hiker Geo-Art - The Debut

In the years I have been playing this game, I have gone hiking with many good friends I've made through Geocaching. This is the debut event for the caches dedicated to some of these terrific people.

These are a series of puzzles that create virtual art work as you fill in smileys.

A pangram is a sentence that contains all the alphabet characters. There are several in the English language, but there's one that has become the standard reference, and is often used to teach people how to type and use a keyboard. To make this as easy as possible, without simply giving you the coordinates, the pangram I am describing references 2 animals I have seen while geocaching.

All the puzzles are solved the same way with the same source. However, for those attending, the actual hide coordinates will be provided, either on paper, or a GPX file to put into your GPS.

To add to the fun, everybody that comes to the event and signs a cache log for one or more of the puzzles, they can claim a co-FTF for those logs they have signed, except this event cache and the bonus cache, which you will have to solve and earn.

There will be over 40 puzzle caches, all permanent, that will be a part of this series. Several traditional caches have been placed and published prior to the event.

The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Bridgewater Falls Shopping Center, 3417 Princeton Road Fairfield Township, OH 45011. Lunch will be available at your own expense as we chat and the files and papers are provided to everyone. It is estimated to take one hour or less to get everybody the information. At 12:30 p.m., after everybody is prepared, we will leave to collect the caches.

Bring your GPSr, flash drive, and/or your computer to get the GPX file. Bring bandaids if you plan to bandage your fingers if you are going to input them manually.

Feel free to come early if you plan to eat. I am.
