Pa. Route 28 is a major highway (in most portions) which runs for 97 miles from Pittsburgh to Brockway, Pa. The expressway from Kittanning to Pittsburgh is called the Alexander H. Lindsay Memorial Highway or the Allegheny Valley Expressway. The roadway into Pittsburgh has caused commuters numerous traffic headaches, along with several fatalities, over the years. But finally, there may be some resolution on the way with the new reconstruction to be completed in 2014. The town of Blawnox was originally founded in the late 18th century under the name Hoboken. The town of Hoboken was later required to change it's name due to the city of Hoboken, New Jersey's claim to the name. The Blaw-Knox Steel Construction Company, which was the community's major industry, asked the people of the town to change the name to Blawnox, and so they did. DO NOT APPROACH FROM THE BLAWNOX ENTRANCE RAMP OR FROM ROUTE 28! Parking coordinates are listed. There is sort of a trail at the end of the parking area down to the cache site. The cache is a camoed pill bottle. Congrats to Scitzo382 and BigJoe01 on the FTF!
