The remains of a PT-72 Russian light amphibious tank

This old carcass still has a turret and gun barrel but is otherwise disabled. There are no tracks or wheels and it is sitting by the side of the road in the table drain. It is about 21km from the centre of town heading west, then a side road to the north, the road is all paved.
The cache is a large plastic box and it currently has a logbook in two plastic bags, spare plastic bags, a pen, pencil, pencil sharpener and 3 Koala Bear keyrings as trade items.
The area around Phonsavan was heavily devastated during the secret war carried out by the US forces under the direction of the CIA. Nobody else knew about it and Laos itself was bombed every 8 minutes for 9 years, this tank is one of the remnants of the engagement to stop the dreaded 'Communism' from taking over South East Asia
The area should be muggle free but there is a small village nearby, so please be careful replacing the cache.
The owner of a local restaurant will be the cache maintainer. He is very happy to see anything done that will bring tourists to this town, as Laos is a very poor country still living under daily threat from over 30 million cluster bomblets which are still live and killing all the time.
For this reason I have listed it with a 'dangerous' symbol, if you bring kids, don't let them go running off into the bush, but this area has been cleared of any bombies.
