Geocache Description:

This is cache number 10 of 11 when walking NW along the red trail route at Lake Vrynwy. Alternatively it can be found by parking on the road nearby where the trail ends/starts. The trail to or from the Swallow cache is steep and can be dangerous in wet weather.

Please note that Mobile Phone coverage is very poor in this area so you are advised to download the required information prior to your visit to allow for access when offline.

You are looking for a lunch box size clip-lock box. The container contains a log book, pen, a few swag items, and is also suitable for larger travel bugs or coins.

The Sparrow Hawk is the second commonest bird of prey. The male is one of the smallest birds of prey with short rounded wings and a long tail. It can be recognised in flight by its white underside and orange bars which run the length of its wings. The female is much larger than the male and generally double it's weight. The stripes on her wings are grey brown instead of orange.

This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the RSPB.  Due to the nature of the work undertaken by the RSPB and the forestry commission it may at times be necessary to temporarily disable this cache and we ask that you respect our decision to do this.
