From cache 14 follow the footpath through the boatyard, past houses on left until you reach the road.
This linear walk from Oulton to Somerleyton is just over 5 miles long. It crosses marsh land, woodland and farmland following the Angles Way footpath. It consists mostly of tracks but there are two short stretches of quiet country road. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs but may be possible to do on mountain bikes (some steps,gates). You will need appropriate footwear (walking boots recommended) as many parts of the walk are prone to get muddy. Please note that there are many areas of deep water along the route so children must be supervised at all times. Please bring your own pen and tweezers/removal tool.
The wildlife of the area includes water vole, snipe, heron, kestrel, Emperor Dragonfly. Farm animals you may see include sheep, pigs, horses, ponies and cows.
As the route is linear you may wish to catch a train from Somerleyton to Oulton Broad North (or vice versa).
