J.T. has a profound love of soccer. Around the age of five, J.T. was diagnosed with ADHD. During the end of his first year of preschool we received a paper for Hamilton SAY Soccer. Mom thought this would be a great way for him to burn energy, so he got signed up. J.T. instantly fell in love. Soccer is fast paced and he really thrived as a player.

He has a real knack for goalie. Because of the ADHD, he wasn’t to thrilled to be confined to the goalie box, but he was so dang good. As the years passed, he played every fall. He soon realized he was pretty great in that goal box, so he didn’t complain when he was put there. There have been numerous times when he almost ate cleat, but he never hesitated to fall on that ball, not many goalies his age would willingly throw themselves on the ball when there are other players around the ball! When he is in the goal, Mom often reminds him that while he is goalie, he can get dirty without getting in trouble, which he has no problem doing at all....LOL! There are many parents and coaches that mention that he is one of the best goalies they have seen! Which makes Mom and Dad very proud!

J.T. also has asthma, but he has never let that slow him down of the soccer field. He has a signal he uses to let the coaches (most of the time this is his dad, Tom) know that he is struggling to catch his breath. They then switch his position during the game to a less running position, until they can pull him out. J.T. is very aware of the signs that an attack is coming on and he will let the coaches know right away, before it gets too bad.

After the fall 2012 season of Hamilton SAY, J.T. was asked to join an indoor team at Soccer City. He was very excited about this new opportunity. We informed his new coach that he was pretty good as goalie. The coach was hesitant to put him as goalie because he has a goalie he has used for years. He did relent and put J.T. in the goal for the first half. During 22 minutes of game play, J.T. stopped numerous goals and got scored on once. That evening Mom got a text from the coach telling her J.T. rocked and was very pleased that he put J.T. in the goal. He also stated that J.T. was the best goalie they had by far.

J.T.’s parents are very proud of him for his dedication, love and passion for the sport. Mom and Dad informed him after his first indoor game that he did awesome. His response was, “I was just playing and having fun!” He is so humble. If J.T. continues to play and improve the way he has for the past 5 years, he has a strong chance to get a scholarship for college. However, if he decides to pursue another activity and give up soccer, that is fine. The bottom line, J.T. has to be happy. Right now, he is happy and that is all that matters.

This cache is dedicated to J.T., the soccer king. The gravity defying, monkey boy of Tom_n_JT. He climbs trees as if he belongs in them. If you come across one of JT hides, GOOD LUCK!! 90% of the hides he has a hand in is evil!

He loves to cache almost as much as soccer. Soccer is most definitely number 1 in J.T.’s life, yet caching is a close 2nd. We hope you enjoy hunting for this cache as much as J.T. enjoys soccer.
