Geocache Description:

This old cast iron factory is one of important cultural heritages called "田中家主屋鋳物工場” meaning Tanaka-Family's Main Cast Iron Factory.

Tanaka Family 田中家 ran cast iron industry 鋳物業 exclusively in this area in the era of Edo 江戸時代. At present, this place is opened for public as a kind of museum where you can see various old iron tools and equipment made in the past. Also, there is a replica of pit dwelling 竪穴式住居.
Open hour is 9:30am through 5:00pm (reception is closed at 4:30pm)
A micro cache can be accessible and retrieved anytime from the outside.
