North to Nelson!
I wanted to put out the greatest cache ever, so here's the best I could muster! This is not listed as a traditional cache because of the following Additional Logging Requirement: as well as signing the log book, finders must award this cache a favourite point --- let's keep it at 100%! ...And feel free to gush about the merits of this cache in your logs too!
This cache is about 5m off the trail on the non-river side.
The Great Northern Rail Trail extends from Salmo, past Nelson, and on to Troup, following the former Burlington Santa Fe rail bed. The rail bed is level (more or less), but some portions of it are better traveled than others, so the ground varies from groomed gravel to overgrown weeds. It is a great trail for walking or cycling, and in the winter, X-country skiing or snowshoeing.
