North to Nelson!
With the Yuletide season approaching, I thought I would do a camo job on this cache using the Christmas colours. It didn't turn out so well. Now I have new words to an old classic stuck in my head.
The Great Northern Rail Trail extends from Salmo, past Nelson, and on to Troup, following the former Burlington Santa Fe rail bed. The rail bed is level (more or less), but some portions of it are better traveled than others, so the ground varies from groomed gravel to overgrown weeds. It is a great trail for walking or cycling, and in the winter, X-country skiing or snowshoeing.
