North to Nelson!
This is my tongue-in-cheek homage to all those urban caches that amazed me the first time I saw them. You know: the fake bolt, the re-bar with a hole drilled in it, the hollow plastic rock, etc.
Finding this one might be tough due to poor GPS signal.
The Great Northern Rail Trail extends from Salmo, past Nelson, and on to Troup, following the former Burlington Santa Fe rail bed. The rail bed is level (more or less), but some portions of it are better traveled than others, so the ground varies from groomed gravel to overgrown weeds. It is a great trail for walking or cycling, and in the winter, X-country skiing or snowshoeing.
