North to Nelson!
Getting to GZ might be easier in winter for this one, when the weeds are covered. You will find it hanging about 15m off the trail on the river side.
The Great Northern Rail Trail extends from Salmo, past Nelson, and on to Troup, following the former Burlington Santa Fe rail bed. The rail bed is level (more or less), but some portions of it are better traveled than others, so the ground varies from groomed gravel to overgrown weeds. It is a great trail for walking or cycling, and in the winter, X-country skiing or snowshoeing.
