Originally, this description offered to change the name of this cache to the first good suggestion I get from a "finder". I guess the FTFers were in such a hurry to find the cache that they passed up this sweet offer! Congratulations and "Thanks" goes out to LXGDS for providing the name for the cache. Read her log for the story behind the name!
The Great Northern Rail Trail extends from Salmo, past Nelson, and on to Troup, following the former Burlington Santa Fe rail bed. The rail bed is level (more or less), but some portions of it are better traveled than others, so the ground varies from groomed gravel to overgrown weeds. It is a great trail for walking or cycling, and in the winter, X-country skiing or snowshoeing.
