Geocache Description:

Easy Find - Small Cache with room for small trade items or small travel bugs.

I have just begun working in West Point with Point University and have been out and about learning some of the local history. I have decided to place some caches around as I discover new things about the area.

This will be a very easy cache to find, but you can learn a lot about the West Point area when the Welcome Center is open.

Muggles should not be a problem, but stealth should be taken as there is activity across the tracks.

The Caboose was called by many names such as cab, van, or shanty. The first caboose was a boxcar modified for use as an office. The caboose evolved into a complete office and living quarters for the train crew and rode at the end of the freight cars for over 150 years. It provided an area where the conductor processed the paperwork necessary to keep track of the many freight cars and their contents.
It contained a stove for cooking. Cupboards held cooking utensils and food for meals. Closets stored rain gear and extra clothing. Bunks provided beds for tired crewmen. It became their home away from home.
