Geocache Description:

This cache is a "drive-in-cache" right by the road and brings you to an historic Indian site.

In this area the tribe of the Cahuilla was active in the 1850s. But I do not know if that place was created by them. Maybe somebody else has valid information. If you found the cache and you go a couple yards east to N 33°39.288 / W 116°58.478, you will reach an area where the Indians would grind corn to meal.

This cache is dedicated to the part of my family living in the US.

Therefore I would be happy if you write a short note in your online log when you have any German family roots.
