A log-only cache on Saddle Peak Rd. with a head-turning view you should stop and notice.
As I've said many times in logs and conversation, Saddle Peak Rd is my favorite place to get 'high'. My last visit here was outstanding because I chose to enjoy the surrounding beauty before being consumed by the hobby. Some of you caching addicts can relate to this. When we fall prey to that four letter word "hunt", hardly anything else matters. Now, add the possibility of being FTF. Would anyone waste any time on another spectacular view? Haven't you seen 'em all? Blame it on age, or whatever, but I'm finding myself stopping to smell the roses more often. A small decision like this can turn your day around.. The view in the low morning light was incredibly breathtaking. My point is this: We all can recall seeing the very thing I've just described. Ever think about the ones you've missed only because you didn't take the time to take it all in. This morning, I switched my priorities and made the best choice of what was available at that moment. Many of you veteran cachers have turned me on to a fantastic time coming up here. Next time you come up here, it'll be your turn to enjoy a similar experience, even before you place one foot on the trail.
At cache site, there is ample parking on the grassy shoulder. Park you vehicle clearly off Saddle Peak Rd. You'll be looking for a camo'd pill bottle in a holder. The container can be taken out of the holder to access the log. Please replace container in it's holder.
