A Challenge cache for all!
I discovered the “Leave No Day Uncached” idea by accident and the first one I saw was the one in Texas (GC20KJG). There are others, such as some in Washington State (GC29BV8, GC23RCJ and GC22BVM); if there are others in the UK, I’m sure someone will point this out, but this is the first I know of in Scotland.
The idea is to complete the full calendar grid by caching on each day in the year. No, not necessarily each consecutive day in one specific year – it can be different days in different years - but by the time you come to find this cache, you must have found all 365 in the ordinary calendar year. If you have cached on 29th February, so much the better, but it is not a prerequisite, particularly as you will need to wait the best part of 4 years in order to fill that little gap if you haven’t already done so!
You do not need to register intent, so caches already found already count towards your grid. However, in order to qualify, you will need to post a picture of your completed grid, be it obtained through your GC.com profile or through GSAK, or have your statistics page enabled in order that I can verify that the grid is full. Although this is a fun challenge, any logs without this criterion being met will be deleted.
If you look at my profile, it is evident that I started this type of challenge some time back, and I mentioned this to a couple of other cachers, both of whom are likely to have completed their grid by the time this is published; don’t fret about not being FTF or 2TF as it’s really not a race. There will be prizes for whoever qualifies AND gets there first, but the fun is in the satisfaction of completing the grid. Well, I say “fun”… it can turn into a bit of an obsession! If you find it’s too much, by all means ignore this cache and head off to find something easier.
So the qualification criteria:
• Find a cache on each of the days of the year – this or any other year.
• Post a picture of your completed grid and/or keep your statistics page available; logs failing to meet this requirement will be deleted.
• If you are with someone who has completed theirs, by all means join them in finding the cache, but please do not log a find until you have completed your own grid.
• Logging a find on your own cache is not allowed.
• I am happy to accept this cache find as the final qualifying date, although you may personally prefer to find another before going for this one – up to you.
• I’ll try not to amend the criteria, but if something crops up which I haven’t thought of, I reserve the right to tweak them!
• Have fun!
* * * MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SEARCHDOG, NOT JUST FOR FTF, BUT FOR CACHING 366 DAYS NON-STOP. * * *
PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE CACHE IS LEFT WITH THE HANDLE ON THE TOP. THANK YOU.
