Geocache Description:

English:

When the conquistadors set foot on the beautiful island of Borinquen, the native people lived in scattered tribes in various parts of the island, organized in a monarchical political structure type, with the chief ruler. In this region of the island dominated the cacique Canovanax with all the characteristics of the Taino Indian, his nobility, his love for the land and nature.

From this eponymous character, our town takes its name, doing historical justice to who contributed in some way to add pages of glory to his history.
