CONGRATS TO TEAM BACKWOODS FOR FTF.

Well to sum it up, I was making changes to a nearby cache, and on the way home I saw standing in front of a small house 2 Cannons facing each other...   I just had to stop and look at these two things.


As  was looking I met one of the nicest ladys ever.  Catherine Clay.  She was outside setting up her house for Christmas, and we spoke for a long time about the cannons.   Her father had made them for her to hang her address on. (They are of course not real, but look cool)   she had two wood cutout soldiers one standing next to each cannon.  She told me that she was from the South and her husband was from the North, and they always joked about the North/South fued.  She said she planned to paint one of the cannons with Dixie Colors, and its soldier in a Reb Uniform, and Paint the other Union colors and its soldier in a union uniform.   I hope she is able to do this because it will look so cool.

I brought up the subject of geocaching. She had not heard of it, but thought it was a cool thing.  I asked and received permission to place a cache on her property.    The cache is not on the cannons, so please do not mess with them.   Take all the photos you wish, and if you see her say hello!  She is very nice, and you will have a nice conversation.
